Master of Business Administration (MBA)
An MBA suited for you
We get it — you are considering an MBA because you have specific goals to accomplish. Perhaps you want to pave the way for advancement opportunities or pursue a new career direction. Perhaps you are seeking the personal fulfillment of continuing your education and earning a new degree. Whatever your motivation, earning an MBA and achieving your goals takes a lot of hard work.
Pursue your MBA, your way. We offer two concentrations within our MBA program: leadership coaching and management.
Both concentrations consist of the “MBA Core,” which includes eight courses totaling 24 credit hours. The MBA Core consists of courses such as Leading Leaders, Building Healthy Culture and Performance, and Business Research Methods. Each concentration contains four additional specialized courses totaling 12 credit hours, for a total of a 36-credit hour MBA.

Executive Coaching and Leadership Concentration
This track consists of four courses, three of which are part of a leadership coaching credential. The Executive Coaching and Leadership Certificate is offered through Huntington University in partnership with CAST (Coaching Approach Skill Training). The CAST curriculum is approved through the ICF (International Coaching Federation). Students who successfully complete the leadership coaching courses will meet the ICF’s coach-specific training and mentor coaching requirement and will be eligible to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the ICF.
Executive Coaching and Leadership Certificate Courses
This track focuses more on the functional side of business and business management. With courses in Product Design and Life Cycle Strategies, Emerging Trends in Marketing and Branding, and Financial Decision-Making, you will graduate with your MBA equipped to tackle whatever the business world throws at you.

Graduate credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions may be transferable to Huntington University's graduate programs. Only graduate courses with a grade of B- (2.67) or above are transferable. Generally, such credits must be no older than 10 years and must represent courses that can reasonably substitute for courses in the Huntington University graduate program. Individual program directors determine the suitability of such courses for transfer credit and may deny transfer credit. Students will be asked to provide relevant materials for their transfer courses. Students in the MBA program may transfer in a maximum of 6 credit hours. Although credits may transfer, no transfer grades are recorded nor counted in the cumulative grade point average.
The Huntington University MBA offers students the ability to engage with faculty, fellow students and classroom material in three ways. This flexible program provides our students the option to pivot throughout their degree completion to match how they best learn, accommodate work and family schedules as well as stay on track to graduate.

The HyFlex modality allows MBA students freedom to flex between online and in-person classes. Students can attend in-person at our Huntington, Indiana, downtown business incubator site one night per week. The in-person lecture/discussion will broadcast live on Zoom to those who wish to attend from home or review the discussion at a later time. Students may also attend on their own time through weekly asynchronous workshop activities. HyFlex allows students to flex between these three options from week to week for a customized MBA experience.
All MBA management track courses will be held using the HyFlex modality. Students seeking the leadership coaching track must attend live synchronous classes during the three courses that meet International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards. Certificate students must attend weekly synchronous classes one time per week. Each class session is two and a half hours. Additionally, each student must log 10 hours of mentor coaching.
The Huntington University Leadership Coaching Certificate, in partnership with the Coach Approach Skill Training (CAST), provides 60 hours of coach training and 10 hours of mentor coaching required by ICF.
Huntington University Leadership Coaching Certificate graduates have met the 60 hours of training and 10 hours of mentor coaching requirements for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. Once students complete all required coursework, 10 Mentor Coaching hours are required to pursue ICF certification. Huntington University will assist students in completing these hours, and the cost is included in tuition. Most students complete the Mentor Coaching hours within six to eight weeks. Full post-certificate requirements and full ACC eligibility requirements can be found on the ICF website: CoachingFederation.org.
The MILE is an opportunity to travel to another country with your cohort for a first-person glances into business in other nations, beyond-the-page insight into international business relations and leadership, and an immersive cultural experience.
Yes! The vast majority of cost to attend the MILE is included in the tuition costs for both the management and leadership coaching tracks. Students will be responsible for a couple of meals and personal keepsakes.
The MILE takes place over the summer semester every other year.
The location varies from trip to trip and is generally known no less than six months before the trip dates. The location is secured through a third party and is based on a corporate partner in country, cost, and timing. Previous locations have included Germanic Europe and Peru.
An alternative global studies course is available for students unable to travel for any reason.
